The exact opposite of this style was the cropped cut, which seemed very popular this year. Several celebrities, such as Anne Hathaway, Halle Berry and Charlize Theron, sported short hairstyles at Oscars 2013. Both Hathaway and Theron cropped their bangs for films roles. Theron wore the traditional pixie cut. Berry’s short, spiked ‘do was edgy and urban. Hathaway’s cut was gentler and featured soft, feathered bangs.
Buns were also very popular this year. Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, and Kristen Chenoweth all sported this chic yet functional hairstyle.
